Engagement rings, moving from estate to estate

These are our rings. We wanted something unique, both to the world's idea of engagement rings, and to each other and so we went to our favorite estate jewelry shop in Newburyport and chose these.

Dolce's (on the left) is a handmade silver and gold art piece with a strange and fiery opal. Mine is a delicate gold ring from the 1940's, set with a new chunk of man-made Alexandrite. It changes from purple to green, depending on the light, and goes nicely with the sparks of purple and green fire in Dolce's stone.

They cost a whole lot less than diamonds, and they have a whole lot more character.
